I’m off to record my debut album then splash it all over the world!

We will gather, splatter, splutter and stutter our way through Saturday night.. AND .. I’ll be playing with the FULL BAND!!

Rohan on Double Bass.. Andy on Drums .. Mitch on Guitar.. and .. well.. I am resigning from Melbourne’s most iconic original music shop so the audience may just turn into the performance too…

TASH SULTANA

(I met Tash.. age 15.. sitting in the Acoustic room splashing all kinds of junk all over a Maton guitar. Amazing…!)

The night will kick off with an intimate acoustic set from Michael Yule who’ll warm up the floorboards for us from around 7-8pm

Entry is totally totes mcgoats FREE as it always is at Grumpy’s Green. The beer is sustainable and organic (and so are the couches..) There’s inside bits, outside bits, upstairs/downstairs and eating bits too..

Tash Sultana is a fast fingered guitarist, smashes the strings and belts a wholehearted voice weaved amongst her insightful lyrics and songs written beyond her years.

Kerryn Fields is a bold and gutsy folk/soul amazon woman, who belts a voice with no comparison and brings to the stage an incredible sound and emotive performances that leave audiences hanging on for more.

Tash Sultana and Kerryn Fields will perform both solo and together on the night, bringing an array of instruments and shake-alongs, laced with harmonies and laughter ♥

Yes! It’s my birthday this month and for the first time in my LIFE I am going to have a fairy wings princess dress pixie dust sparkly glittery birthday party to celebrate! (I bet my Mum is reading this right now wondering exactly what I’ve put in my hot steamy autumn porridge this morning…)

I have been working alongside the most incredible bunch of dudes in the music shop for coming up 2 years now and I’ve started to scratch and smell in places I never knew existed. Time to get my girly on.

The only pink thing I have ever owned was my Recorder that Santa gave me. The first song I learned to play was the ice cream truck song, and my Mum taught me how to play songs while she strummed along on the guitar. We’d even head down to the local rest home (sometimes with the local Girl Guides. Yes. I was a girl guide. And I had badges. And I wore them. And I was proud) and perform duets of Cat Stevens and other snugly hits.

So there. I played a pink recorder and was a crafty camping girl power girl guide.

BIG NEWS BIG NEWS BIG NEWS!!!!

I AM RECORDING MY BIG BEAUTIFUL DEBUT ALBUM!!

I have so much to tell you (do I ever not?) and I’m fizzling to talk about all the finer details but lets just cut to the gooey caramel bits in the centre

I am recording with my good friend Michael Gonthier from Shredd Studios, producing with my soul brother Mitch Finglas who has screeds of experience making incredible music both in and out of the studio (Mitch is the guitarist for Lebelle – Australian Emergenza winners who just came from touring Germany!). I’ll be bringing my trusty right and left hand drumming man Andy Fumberger to beat the beats, and I have found a beautiful big smiling ‘has chooks, bees and bakes bread’ Double Bass player who is coming on board to complete the Kerryn Fields trio – and we’re heading into the studio in June!!!

Whew!!!
